KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Role Summary
We are looking for a Technical Lead – Infrastructure to strengthen technical leadership across the Infra tower in a Managed Services environment. This role is critical in handling complex technical escalations, mentoring engineers, and confidently articulating issues and solutions during customer calls to sustain customer confidence.
The ideal candidate will have strong multi-domain infrastructure expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical teams and senior customer stakeholders.
Key Technical Skills
Compute & Virtualization
- VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, clusters, upgrades)
- Physical servers (HPE, Dell, Cisco)
- Performance troubleshooting and capacity planning
Windows & Identity
- Windows Server administration
- Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Microsoft Failover Clustering
- PowerShell scripting
- Azure Virtual Desktop architecture and components
Backup & Storage
- Veeam Backup & Replication
- NetApp storage administration
- SAN concepts: zoning, LUN mapping, host exports
- Exposure to cloud backups (AWS S3, Azure Blob)
Authentication & Networking (High-Level)
- Strong understanding of enterprise authentication concepts
- RADIUS / NPS fundamentals
Automation & Cloud
- Automation mindset; scripting experience preferred
- Exposure to Azure / AWS infrastructure services
Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as the technical escalation point for Infra tower
- Oversee daily operations for compute, backup, storage, and core infra services
- Lead troubleshooting of P1/P2 incidents and recurring issues
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), preventive actions and proactive measures
- Mentor engineers and improve overall technical capability of the team
- Coordinate with vendors for escalations, patches, and break-fix
- Drive operational improvements, automation, and stability initiatives
Process & Governance
- Strong adherence to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change)
- ITIL v3 / v4 certification preferred
- Experience working in a 24x7 support model (on-call/escalations)
Key Soft Skills (Mandatory)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong ownership, accountability, and customer-facing confidence
- Calm and methodical approach during high-pressure situations
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
- Engineering Graduate / BSc in Computer Science / Information Science or Equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
8 to 15 of IT experience in Development.
