Design technical and functional solutions and implement the same. Develop and document optimal codes for complex program requirements. Develop codes for assigned unit of work/requirements within a program/module - functional & nonfunctional. Ensure delivery of defect free codes to the next level or review/ QA team Possess strong understanding of coding best practices. Adhere to timelines and processes while developing and documenting codes. Ensure optimal performance, quality, and automated unit testing. Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization. Ensure compliance to pre defined coding best practices to meet quality and timelines of delivery Good Knowledge of MF COBOL, JCL, Sort/cosort, Linux/Unix, Shell scripting, Subversion, or similar code repository Knowledge of database Oracle/DB2, etc and SQL Knowledge of MQ Series, XML, CICS etc. is an added advantage.
