Position Name: Senior Manager - Travel Operations

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

 

This role is responsible for travel management in the organization, streamlining travel desk operations and introducing new process to ensure effective travel management. This role is also accountable for travel Revenues and for forming collaborations leading to cost effective travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Decrease the over all cost of Travel while adhering to the travel Policy. Liason with the Travel Agents, gather various options on all the travel requests  and approve cost logical fares.
  • Decrease the over all cost of Hotel while adhering to the Travel Policy. Approve the Hotel cost and also ensure SLA is followed on booking process 
  • Responsible for Signing and Renewal of Airline Corporate Deals. 
  • Liason with Airline Sales personnel to validate if all tickets are tracked with the Corporates deal code and close the queries and issues for the same
  • Ensure ticket travel arrangements are closed well within the SLA time and  employees are following the travel policy to have tension free process . 
  • Ensure Customer Satisfication Scores are improved by updating/enhancing the travel process within the Team.
  • Streamline Travel Desk operations to ensure efficient Travel Management and collaborate with the Immigration Team for Visa. 
  • Reports on travel Records and Passenger Data for future Travels. Provide regular Travel MIS to various stake holders
  • Ensure completion of all mandatory training by self and team

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

 

  1. Bachelor of Commerce or any degree
  2. Dilomia in IATA (International Air Travel Association. 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

 

  1. Overall (in years): 10-14 years
  2. Relevant (in years): 9-10 years

DOMAIN/ FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

 

  • Knowledge on Computer reservation system Galiloe, Sabre and Amadeus 
  • Hotel Management preferably Sales and Back office reservation Domain. 
  • Knowledge on Quality Assurance, Control and Improvement activities
  • Proficient use of ALM tools like Version One, TFS, MS office tools like MS Excel
