BASIC INFORMATION ON THE POSITION

Position Name: Engineer - Software

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Production Support, UNIX, Service Management
  ITIL, Build and Release Management, Web server, Windows and AIX server

 

Mandatory:

• Production Support with good technical and analytical skills.
• Excellent Oral and Written communication
• Willing to work in 24 / 7 environment Night Shifts & Weekend work
• Knowledge on ITIL concepts
• MS SQL Database knowledge
• Good knowledge on UNIX, Service Management, Build and Release Management.
• Basic Knowledge on Web server, Windows and AIX server.
• Decent experience or knowledge in WAS 6 or 7 or 8.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer and resolve applications issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis.
• Plan, execute books and implement applications and configuration change procedures to ensure optimal Quality assurance for all applications.
• Supervise all alerts related to application and system procedures and provide services proactively.
• Organize and implement projects ranging from small to medium size and provide assistance to all processes under guidance of team Senior Engineers.
• Provide support and identify all issues and prepare appropriate documentation all issues and solutions.
• Manage all production system and recommend ways to optimize performance and provide solution to problems and prepare reports for all problems.
• Identify and provide resolutions ranging in complexity from medium to high.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Should be an excellent team player.
• Is highly motivated, self-directed, team oriented Customer focused, and has the ability to re-engineer business practices
• Exposure and Competency in Change and Incident/Problem Management Processes as per ITIL framework ITIL V3 Foundation certified professionals preferable.
• Interaction and co-ordinate with different teams part of this project as part of Incident and Problem Management.
